Front End Web Developer creating interactive websites!

I'm Michael, AKA Big Mike. A Web Developer based in Canada with an eagerness to create and learn! I specialize in creating websites and applications focusing on Front End Web Development with JavaScript, jQuery, CSS and HTML.

I'm continuing to sharpen, learn and create on my own as well in my freelance work. In my previous role at SmartWebPros.com I worked with a creative team to help clients, big and small, create and maintain WordPress and Hard-Coded websites that make an impact in their local neighborhood.

I enjoy working in a team based environment while receiving and acting on feedback from clients and management. While working with clients I discuss how I can help them create a website that best suits their needs. I create responsive and aesthetically pleasing website designs and developments while paying attention to the user experience and interface. I keep up to date on current design trends via Dribble, communicating with coworkers and friends, while also researching new development frameworks and technologies to help with website performance.

On my Github, I have several projects showcased including the Skull Split repository, my learning where I continue to learn ReactJS, Angular and Vanilla JavaScript, and past work such as FocusGRP and FocusGRP Design.

Outside of work I'm a movie and TV show buff, with my current favourites being Interstellar, Big Mouth, Archer, The Office, Euphoria, Attack on Titan, Naruto and Dragon Ball. I enjoy playing video games with friends from around the world while also making time to introduce my girlfriend to the gaming world with games like It Takes Two. When I'm feeling creative, I like to dabble in creating digital art using Photoshop.
